We are proud and excited to have founded Yukon's first dedicated art and music festival for children:

THE AUGUSTO! CHILDREN'S FESTIVAL!

We are honoured to be here on the traditional territory of the Champagne and Aishihik First Nations in the beautiful village of Dakwäkäda Haines Junction! Founded in 2017, we are amazed that our 2026 Augusto! Children's Festival will be our 7th. Our festival continues to grow each year and the feedback we receive confirms that we have built something special!

The mandate of the Augusto! Children's Festival Society is to create an art and music festival that celebrates children and becomes a showcase community event that continues to foster, expand and promote the community's interest in art and music. Our festival provides an opportunity for children and adults to experience a variety of art and music activities, through shows and workshops led by professional artists. Our goal has been to design a festival that involves the whole community, either as artists, attendees, volunteers and local vendors. Geared to ages 12 and under, the festival presents a variety of art and music activities each year to ensure it remains new and engaging for participants and to ensure a mix of performers and artists benefit from the weekend.

Our volunteer board dedicates many hours to the planning and delivery of this wonderful sharing of art and culture with you and your families! The 2026 festival will take place from August 7-9 at the St. Elias Convention Centre in Haines Junction.
